Sport Beach 2025 - Where Culture Hit the Sand, Not the Slides

July 1, 2025

In just four days, Sport Beach 2025 drew nearly 7,000 creatives, athletes, and marketers to the Croisette. We hosted 193 interviews. Delivered 41 panels. And lived through hundreds of spontaneous moments that no deck could ever capture.

Yes, AI was everywhere. But so were the humans. The ones laughing, sweating, colliding in conversation, collaborating over fresh smoothies, and sharing something algorithms can't simulate – yet ;) – the spark of real presence.

Culture doesn’t live in a deck. It lives in the details.
The brands that won weren’t chasing TikTok trends, but were shaping them from the inside. Just ask the crowd that ran 5K with Sir Mo Farrah or built their own belt bags in the Adobe zone.

Saying “no” is the real flex.
As Nigel Sylvester said, “Longevity belongs to the choosy.” Knowing who you're not might be the most underrated marketing strategy of 2025.

AI can’t fake what happens when you high five an Olympian.
It can pull stats. But it can’t recreate the goosebumps from hearing Serena Williams drop some deep wisdom, or Billie Jean King telling us why being ‘pissed off’ is productive.

Digital is cluttered. Experience is curated.
10 minutes scrolling is easily forgettable, but 10 minutes in conversation at Sport Beach might change your year.

Sport is the new creative frontier.
This wasn’t a side show. It was the show. Athletes aren’t just in the ads anymore. They’re shaping them. The court is theirs now. Ownership, storytelling, and brand-building.

Data needs soul.
Insight without instinct is static. The best brands at Sport Beach were listening, laughing, and feeling.

And that’s why TEAM is not worried about AI replacing experiential. Because no algorithm can beat an activation that lives in your bones weeks later. Shoutout to everyone at TEAM, Stagwell, Code & Theory, 72andSunny, CheerfulTwentyFirst, ASL, and our entire Stagwell agency fam for an amazing week.
